SDP Conference

2011 Conference will be May 17-21 in Wichita, Kansas - Sunflowers will bloom!

The conference special is here and classes are filling quickly. Register now and get your favorites.

Be sure to register for the Opening Night Party - "Flower Power". Last year's party sold out and was so much fun.

Contests, prizes, music, costumes (remember the 60's - flower power, tied dyed, headbands, bell bottom jeans). Our own Jana Reynolds is chair of the party. Come support her, SDP and have a great time.

The annual meeting is important to attend - vote for your officers and any other by-law change there may be. See your fellow members win awards and hear the announcement of the passing Certification boards and the new TDAs. Your own Nancy Genetti will be presiding over the meeting and banquet and wouldn't it be great for her to be able to announce someone from Yellow Rose!

Take as many classes as you can, but save plenty of time for the Trade show. See all the new surfaces, books, pattern packets, brushes, paint, etc. Where else is this all under one roof.

Remember the Chapter gathering on Thursday morning is open to all members....it is a great learning experience and a place to meet chapter members from all over the country and beyond.

And....end the week at a wonderful banquet with music and entertainment.

SDP Annual conference in Wichita May 18-22, 2010

Conference is a lot of fun, you can take some great classes, meet many painting friends, participate in or attend the Chapter Marketplace where chapters sell all kinds of things, attend the annual meeting, vote for your new officers, watch members receive their certifications & awards, attend the annual banquet where various chapters have painted the centerpieces and favors, in short just have one great week of fun and painting. Your own 2008 President, Nancy Genetti will be presiding at the Annual Meeting & Banquet as President of the Society

Don't forget to register for the Opening Night Party on Monday May 17 - register then come "Paint, Rattle & Roll" the night away. Diana Pfau from Bluebonnet chapter is planning this special night!

The Theme of the Conference

Besides classes, the Annual Meeting starts off the week. At the meeting the SDP Officers

are elected, members who passed, receive their MDA, CDA & TDA certifications, Annual

service awards are presented, and business conducted. This is truly where you become

part of the organization.

Nancy Genetti was presented the Outstanding Chapter Service award at the annual

meeting. This award is given to one recipient each year for the dedicated work with

chapters.

The Chapters Gathering is a place to learn and network with other chapter members from

around the world.
