Share the Magic of Painting - the theme of 2008 Conference in Tampa (Dates: May 26-31) Now is the time to be thinking of attending the SDP Annual conference in Tampa in 2008. It is a lot of fun, you can take some great classes, meet many painting friends, participate in or attend the Chapter Marketplace where chapters sell all kinds of things, attend the annual meeting, vote for your new officers, watch members receive their certifications & awards, attend the annual banquet where various chapters have painted the centerpieces and favors, in short just have one great week of fun and painting. ELECTION Every member will receive a mail-in ballot with their Decorative Painter this year. Be sure to make your voice heard and sent it in to vote. We have two members of the Yellow Rose Chapter running for office this year - Linda McDonald is running for Board Member at Large and Nancy Genetti is running for Vice-President President Elect. Besides classes, the Annual Meeting starts off the week. At the meeting the SDP Officers are elected, members who passed, receive their MDA, CDA & TDA certifications, Annual service awards are presented, and business conducted. This is truly where you become part of the organization. Nancy Genetti was presented the Outstanding Chapter Service award at the annual meeting. This award is given to one recipient each year for the dedicated work with chapters.
The Chapters Gathering is a place to learn and network with other chapter members from around the world.

The New Chapter Marketplace was a big success. Any chapter could rent a table and sell items. They ranged from Shirts, fans, Cookbook, ornaments to clip board stands for your patterns.

Each person staying in the room block Installation of SDP Officers received a cowboy hat and scarf to paint & decorate. A parade of hats was held at the banquet.
