Pat Holder passed away in January 2010. She was from Indiana and had lived in Texas for many year.
As most
of you may know by now, after a long battle with cancer, we have lost a friend
and long time member, Kay Crumpler. I have just returned from services for her
and am typing this thru a lot of tears. I didn’t know Kay extremely well, but
there is no mistaking the fact that Kay touched a lot of people. The church
was filled with family, friends, members of her church, Yellow Rose members
and even two representatives from Eli Lilly. It was thru the medicine they
developed that Kay enjoyed a good quality life for five years. She set records
for chemo treatments and survival longevity. I was surprised to learn that the
CEO keeps a picture of Kay on his desk to remind him of the real purpose of
the Eli Lilly Company.
Kay had
a deep faith in Jesus Christ and always had a smile on her face. I can’t ever
remember her saying a bad word about anyone. It makes me wonder what my legacy
will be.....what will yours be?
Thank
you Kay....we WILL miss you.
